The nexiles.engineeringplatformprovides the default components for managing designs with a consistent set of meta data. Especially in combination with a PDM/PLM system it becomes really important to describe designs with more than just some filename. This might be information like an order number, description, customer name, design department and much more. All this information should always be verified to avoid spelling mistakes and forgotten values...

The benefits of having a properly defined and maintained set of meta data are:

The nexiles.engineeringplatform assists designers in their daily work with Creo Parametric and Windchill PDMLink with the following functionality:

  • Creating new designs with correct file naming scheme (if no auto-numbering is used), consistent set of meta data, assigned material and correct start templates
  • Modifying exitsing designs with a consistent set of meta data
  • Searching designs based on the defined meta data

Many additional functional components are available - often highly customized to the special needs of our customers:

  • Creating variants based on templates selected from a graphical catalog
  • Managing detailed drawings while following company standards for their setup and configuration
  • Publishing detailed drawings according to requirements from 3rd party processes

All nexiles solutions are built on the latest web-technologies - also the nexiles.engineeringplatform. The application can be deployed in two ways to the users:

  • Installation on a web server (open in regular browser or embedded in Creo Parametric)
  • Standalone installation on the client machine as native application
